There are a number of important dates for competitors and support crews listed below.
Monday 21st June, 2010 - GOLD COAST BRIEFING NIGHT
The briefing night for Gold Coast based competitors will take place at
Southport RSL, 36 Scarborough St, Southport. The briefing
will take place 7pm for a 7.30 start and will provide an opportunity
for all competitors and their support crews to gain all necessary
information and tips to ensure they have the best chance at crossing the
finish line in the 2010 Kokoda Challenge. It is important that at
least one member for each team attends a briefing night.
Monday 28th June, 2010 - BRISBANE BRIEFING NIGHT
The briefing night for Brisbane based competitors will take place at
Kedron Wavell Services Club on Hamilton Rd, Chermside. The briefing
will take place 7pm for a 7.30 start and will provide an opportunity for
all competitors and their support crews to gain the necessary
information and tips to ensure they have the best chance at crossing the
finish line in the 2010 Kokoda Challenge. It is important that at
least one member for each team attends a briefing night.
Friday 2nd July, 2010
All teams must have met the minimum fundraising contribution of $1000 per team by this date. You can continue to raise above this amount right up till the 31st August.
EVENT WEEKEND! 17-18th July, 2010
All your training and support preparation has come down to this weekend - it is time to test yourself! It all kicks off from Mudgeeraba Village Green at 7am and spectators can watch competitors cross the finish line from 6pm on Saturday evening at the Nerang Velodrome, Hope St, Nerang.
Bush BBQ Sunday 8th August, 2010
Join us at the beautiful Polly's Creekside Cafe for a relaxing bush bbq as a thankyou to our volunteers and to celebrate the achievements of the teams in the 2010 Kokoda Challenge. Family and friends all welcome. Confirmation of attendance will be required with a booking form to be released on the website in mid May.
Tuesday 31st August, 2010
Final team donations must be received by this date with all fundraising receipt books being returned to the Kokoda Challenge offices. The team with the highest amount recorded against their fundraising tally will win a trip for 4 people to walk the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea.
