The cost of sending a student to Kokoda Primary School is 100kena a year. With the average wage being 35kena a week many children don’t make it to school, as most of the Kokoda residents are only sustenance farmers. The PNG government funded schooling for this year (2008) as part of the cyclone relief program. Attendance at Kokoda Primary School went up by 200. There is no funding for 2009. The 10 students we have sponsored for 2009 have been carefully chosen by the school staff.

For only $55AUD you can personally sponsor a student at Kokoda Primary School.  Click here to make a tax deductible donation through our website and help us add to the list of sponsored students.
