About
Support our team and empower local youth!

We're a group of Year 11 students from Carmel College taking on the 48km Kokoda Challenge in the Gold Coast Hinterland this July.
After months of training, early morning hikes, long weekends, and plenty of sore legs, we're ready to take on one of Australia's toughest team endurance events. Starting midday on July 18th we will hike well into the night with the goal of crossing the finish line roughly at midnight.
Along the way, we'll hike roughly 2,200 meters of elevation gain, for context thats more than double the height of Australia's tallest building and we're doing it all on foot as a team.
But this isn't just about the physical or mental challenge.
We're hiking to support the Kokoda Youth Foundation, which delivers life-changing programs for young Australians, and to honour the Australian soldiers who battled in the Kokoda Campaign in WWII.
These programs help young people build resilience, confidence, and leadership though the Kokoda values of Courage, Endurance, Mateship and Sacrifice.
Every donation, big or small goes towards helping more young people access these opportunities and realise their potential.
Thank you for supporting me and my team as we push ourselves to the limit for something bigger than us.
