About
Support our team and empower local youth!
Our team from Mary MacKillop Catholic College is taking on Australia’s toughest team endurance event — the Kokoda Challenge — and we’re asking for your support. We will be competing in the demanding 96km course, pushing ourselves physically and mentally with the goal of completing the challenge in 22 hours.
Our team consists of Malcolm, Jonas, Max, Lucas and Jackson, and while this will be an immense personal challenge, we’re not doing it just for ourselves. We’re hiking for a cause — to raise funds for the Kokoda Youth Foundation, an organisation that delivers life‑changing programs for young people across Australia.
The Kokoda Youth Foundation provides fully funded programs that support disengaged youth through challenging outdoor experiences. These programs build resilience, confidence, and the Kokoda values of Courage, Endurance, Mateship and Sacrifice. Since 2004, hundreds of young people have benefited from these programs, made possible by the generosity of donors and participants in the Kokoda Challenge.
By supporting our team, you’re helping more young people realise their potential and giving real meaning to every kilometre we walk.
