Kokoda Challenge Youth Program

I am very excited to announce that I am taking part in the 2024 Kokoda Challenge Youth Program!

I’m taking part of Kokoda Youth Foundation’s Kokoda Challenge Youth Program (KCYP). KCYP is a 9 month program that involves weekly training sessions for the first 6 months including the 96km Kokoda Challenge Event.  After completing the event, we prepare for a major trekking peak experience designed to challenge and change participants – both physically and mentally.

The peak experience is followed by 3 months of fortnightly volunteer service to give back to local communities. The program requires full commitment and dedication and I will be rewarded with a life changing outcome and setup for adult life.

Woven through the program is the history of the Kokoda Campaign of WWII and draws on inspiration from our Australian Diggers who faced insurmountable odds and achieved what no one thought was possible. All young people in the KCYP are mentored in harnessing the same qualities displayed by the Australian soldiers: Courage, Endurance, Sacrifice and Mateship, otherwise known as Kokoda Spirit.

The Kokoda Youth Foundation is an Australian charity that runs free youth programs for kids in the local community, empowering disadvantaged and disengaged youth with the tools to realise their full potential.

By making a tax-deductible donation today, you can support the Kokoda Youth Foundation in their mission to change the lives of young Australians through instilling the values of the Spirit of Kokoda; Courage, Endurance, Mateship and Sacrifice.

Your donation and support means the world to me!
