Courage, Endurance, Mateship, Sacrifice… and Unicorns! 🦄
We are the Stretton Sparkling Unicorns, a team of four Year 12 students and one very lucky teacher taking on the 48 km Kokoda Challenge through the Gold Coast Hinterland on 18 July.
The Kokoda Challenge is one of Australia’s toughest team endurance events, but we’re not just walking for ourselves. We’re walking to raise funds for the Kokoda Youth Foundation, which runs fully-funded, life-changing programs for young people across Australia.
These programs help young people build confidence, resilience, leadership, and connection through outdoor experiences grounded in the Kokoda values of Courage, Endurance, Mateship and Sacrifice.
Our team has added one extra value for the day: Unicorns 🦄. Because unicorns always make things better 😛
This cause means a lot to us, and we’re proud to challenge ourselves for something bigger than the finish line. Every donation, big or small, helps the Kokoda Youth Foundation support more young people to realise their potential.
