Kondalilla Falls

Mount Allan Shared Trail

Ready to up the ante? The Mount Allan shared trail in Imbil State Forest (which is where the Sunshine Coast Kokoda Challenge is held) offers an 8.8km return challenge. Ideal for hikers, cyclists, horse riders, and those training for their Kokoda Challenge this trail takes about four hours on foot and leads you through scenic hoop-pine plantations. The final 300 metres is for hikers only, leading to the spectacular views from the Mount Allan fire tower. Remember to respect others on the trail—cyclists yield to walkers and horse riders, and walkers yield to horses.
Piccabeen Circuit
For an immersive rainforest experience, don’t miss the Piccabeen Circuit. This captivating 3.3km trail through Imbil State Forest takes approximately two hours and offers a lush canopy of piccabeen palms and towering eucalyptus trees. Begin your adventure at Little Yabba circuit, navigating through cool rainforest and crossing picturesque creek paths—be careful, rocks can be slippery!
Little Yabba Circuit
