Team DMDD take on the Kokoda Challenge!
Hello everyone,
Team DMDD (guesses welcome about what that stands for…!) are taking on The Kokoda Challenge: Australia’s toughest team endurance event. 😱
The challenge, based in the Gold Coast in July, is a 96km hike to be completed as a team in less than 39 hours (including surviving 5 big hills 🫣) paying tribute to the Kokoda Veterans.
Our first mission is to raise $2000 for the Kokoda Youth Foundation. The Kokoda Youth Foundation is an Australian charity that runs free youth programs for kids in the local community, empowering disadvantaged and disengaged youth with the tools to realise their full potential.
We would all be so appreciative of any donations (they are tax-deductible) you are able to make to our fundraising. You may like to donate to help change the lives of young Australians or simply because the thought of us enduring up to 39 hours with no sleep and wobbly legs is worth a few dollars as well as a laugh 😅
Team DMDD will keep you posted on our training for the event (the Golden Bay steps being our new hangout) and progress towards our fundraising goal.
