OUTDOOR EDUCATION

Kokoda Youth Foundation

Camp Kokoda

Camp Kokoda is a 660 acre outdoor education property located on the southern shores of Maroon Dam that provides exceptional wilderness camping experiences for schools and special interest groups.

Approximately 90 minutes from Brisbane and the Gold Coast, the property has the benefit of amazing views throughout the property, whether it be looking at Maroon Dam, the bold face of Mt May or the majestic peaks of Mt Barney which of course adds to the WOW factor!

Incorporating onsite activities and expedition experiences away from the distractions of technology and modern conveniences, each program at Camp Kokoda is designed to be fun, meaningful and meet the preferred outcomes tailored by our clients.

Woven throughout the adventure is the timeless ideology of Kokoda Spirit – Endurance, Courage, Sacrifice and Mateship – and the life-enhancing values derived from the stories of the Kokoda Track in World War II.

Kokoda Park

Kokoda Park is our new facility at the foothills of Mt Beau Brummell about a 20 minute drive west from the town of Laidley. This venue caters for all age groups with accommodation for 150 students in 18 cabins, as well as private teacher accommodation and a dining hall.

Sitting on 160 acres of amazing bushland, Kokoda Park provides first class outdoor activities such as rock climbing wall, high ropes and flying fox. By providing exposure to thrilling, challenging and thoughtful activities, Kokoda Park camps allow students to grow and develop skills through situations they wouldn’t find in a classroom.

Kokoda Park provides group accommodation for a variety of user groups – whether you’re hosting a workplace conference, bonding with your sports team, crafting with your group or reflecting in the wilderness, Kokoda Park offers everything you need to make it a time to remember.
