About
Edge of Glory - Courage, Endurance, Mateship, Sacrifice
Meet Team Edge of Glory. Four friends. One epic challenge. 96 kilometres (60 miles) of "pure endurance"", within 39 hours....rail, hail or shine
We're tackling Australia's toughest team challenge, The Kokoda Challenge in Sydney on Saturday 20th September 2025. Our team ranges from our fearless 15-year-old (who probably has more energy than the rest of us combined), to the three "vintage" old boys whose ages are kept under wraps to protect what's left of our street cred!
The challenge?
Walk 96km (60 miles). No sleep. No shortcuts. Just perseverance and questionable snack choices, and probably some very interesting conversations at 3am.
The mission? Supporting young Australians who need it most.
We're hiking for the Kokoda Youth Foundation - an incredible charity that runs free programs empowering disadvantaged and disengaged kids in our communities. They give young people the tools, confidence, and opportunities to unlock their potential and create brighter futures.
Why Kokoda matters beyond our challenge:
The Kokoda Track holds sacred ground in Australian history. In 1942, thousands of young Australian soldiers fought to defend our home. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering mateship in the face of overwhelming odds secured the freedoms and opportunities we enjoy today. When we think we can't take another step, when our legs are screaming and our spirits are breaking, we'll draw strength from their memory and push on, because giving up isn't in the Australian spirit.
Want to fuel our mission (and maybe our midnight energy bar addiction)?
Your tax-deductible donation powers both our midnight motivation AND provides life-changing opportunities for Australian youth. Help us turn our temporary pain into their permanent gain! Every dollar helps us cross that finish line knowing we've made a real difference.

So proud of you Roadie. Remember - ‘It ain’t about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done.’
