Hi I'm Aiden!

I'm a MSHS year 7 student and this is my first year doing Kokoda. I wanted to challenge and push myself. I don't have a lot of physical experience, but I enjoy hiking, so when I first heard about Kokoda, I immediately signed up.

I'll be doing the 48km this year with my team. Kokoda lets me understand that I can actually do a lot of things, even in areas I thought I wouldn't be able to do anything in, like the intense number of workouts on Wednesday boot camps. I think as long as you put your mind to something and really want to do it, you can achieve or even exceed your original goals.

Throughout training sessions, my team has proven reliable, trustworthy and enjoyable, and with them I'm looking forward to our 48KM hike. 

Our team are tackling this Australia's toughest team endurance event to support the Kokoda Youth Foundation in their mission to change the lives of young Australians through instilling the values of the Spirit of Kokoda; Courage, Endurance, Mateship and Sacrifice. These are the values we will embody on our adventure, paying tribute to Kokoda Veterans.

The Kokoda Youth Foundation is an Australian charity that runs free youth programs for kids in the local community, empowering disadvantaged and disengaged youth with the tools to realise their full potential.
