From Blur Blur to Trail Warrior — Join Me on My 2025 Kokoda Challenge Journey!
Back in 2016, a very blur blur me somehow agreed to take part in the Oxfam Brisbane Trailwalker — 60km in 24 hours. I just followed Commander Goh’s advice, instructions, and training plans. Blur blur went for training… blur blur got teamed up… blur blur trained again… then blur blur packed and marched into "war" with the group.
Along the way, I met many "stranger teammates" from different countries — and together, we walked, we joked, we laughed, we dragged our feet, we got hungry, we got tired, we sang songs, we battled muscle aches, and oh yes… blisters! 😭💥
But what made it unforgettable was how we mentally and physically supported each other. “Go le… walk le… cannot shu shei le… don’t stop… die die must finish even at the very last second!” 💪💀⏰
Somehow, through all the sweat, pain, and laughter, we built a powerful bond that lasted. Even 9 years later, we’re still best friends. ❤️❤️❤️
Now in 2025, the challenge is back — and BIGGER. I’ve signed up for the Kokoda Challenge in Sydney:
96km in 39 hours.
Yes, I’ve aged. But guess what? I’ve restarted my old engine, and I’m ready to push for another breakthrough with a new group of "strangers" — who just might become lifelong friends again.
This journey won’t be easy. There’ll be more tiredness, more muscle aches, more blisters…
But I’m hoping for even more laughter, more jokes, more singing, and more of those money-can’t-buy moments that stay in your heart forever. 💫🎶👣
